We are looking for host locations for 2012. If you have been attending this popular get-together but never hosted one this is a good time to reserve one of the months when the weather is cool enough to hold the gathering on your patio! PLANNING EVENTS FOR SINGLES:
On Sept. 27 at 4 PM a
meeting will be held at Dorothy Blakely’s home at 1749 W. Sonoran View Dr open
to anyone interested in organizing a monthly get together where singles can get
to know other singles in San Ignacio Vistas. If you are interested in planning
events of this type you should call Dorothy at 625-2003 or send an email to info@sivhoa.org
REVISION TO THE BY-LAWS:
At the May 12, 2011 board meeting
the following action was taken:
Dispensing with
balloting in uncontested elections makes economic sense and the law does not
mandate a vote/ballot in the case of an uncontested election. Therefore the By-Laws have been revised to
accommodate the following action if there are insufficient candidates to allow
for balloting for future board elections.
NEW
SECTION TO ARTICLE III
Section 11: No Balloting or Vote in Uncontested
Elections.
If after the nominating committee will
select a slate of nominees to be presented to the Members as candidates for
election to the Board pursuant to Article V, Section 1, below, the number of
nominees is less than or equal to the number of open director positions to be
filled, at the option of the Board, there shall be no balloting or vote
conducted or held for the election of such nominees, and in such event, the nominees shall be
deemed to have been elected as directors by acclamation or unanimous consent of
the Members.

ARTICLE IV
Section 2:
Election.
Subject
to Article III, Section 11 above, election to the Board will be by a written
ballot to be returned and received by the Association not less than 7 days
prior to the annual meeting. The Members
may cast, in respect of each vacancy, as many votes as they are entitled to
exercise under the provisions of the Declaration. The persons receiving the largest number of
votes will be elected. Cumulative voting
is not permitted. Ballots must be separate
documents.
